This last Halloween, me and my family decided to do something exciting. So off we drove to Gettysburg for some heavy duty ghost haunting. This was my first time ever. And on the first night, I didn't even know how to use a camera in the dark. Fortunately, I got those details ironed out that very night.

On our first night, October 30, 2009, we went on a driving tour with Miss Betty. We visited the Grove near Cemetary Hill, Baladerry Inn, and Sachs bridge. Not much seemed to happen that night. I did get more Orbs than could be counted. Which I attribute to a mist of light rain.

On our second night, Oct 31,2009, we went off on our own for most of the night. First we started off in Devils Den, where we walked down to the most haunted area beneath the gate. I have now learned that it is called Triangular field. And I snapped my pic about 100-150 yards down from the gate on the far right. This is a well known hot spot for seeing full bodied apparitions. One that is known to have long hair. It was pitch black, and I had no flashlight. So I snapped wildly with my Cannon Rebel digital camera and took a quick peek after each.

As with the previous night, I didn't see much of anything. But fortunately had no erroneus Orbs to taint my images, since it wasn't raining at the time. At one point, I decided to talk to the ghosts. At first, I thanked them for all that they did for our country. And told them that they made a very big difference. And even told them that they could help prove their own exsistance, if they let me take their pic. The last thing I asked was if they could show me how handsome they look in their uniforms. Ahhh.... vanity, works every time.

The picture that you see above this article was the next one that I took. (This pic looks many times darker than that on my camera. So I autoadjusted and resampled it with Coral Draw. I have the originals obviously if anyone wants to see them.) Then I took a second and a third with the same full bodied apparition!

It was cold out and my husband was being cranky and rushing me. So I ran around wildly snapping as many pics as I could. But I also stopped talking to the ghosts, since I noticed some folks coming near. I was worried that I would look like a nut. (Like we all weren't acting like nuts already anyways.)

Anyways, my advice to you is that if you live anywhere near Gettysburg, you should run out to Devils Den. I got what looks to be one of the best full bodied apparitions of all time there!
